This festive Champagne Sangria is made with just 4 ingredients! It’s a must have at your next swanky….or not so swanky…..soiree!
Time for a New Year!
The overwhelming consensus on my Facebook newsfeed right now is that it is time for 2016 to. be. DONE. It has been a doozy of a year (though certainly not all bad) and I think most of us can agree that we are ready for a fresh start! We’ll be ringing in the New Year in “style” this year—with our two wild kiddos. That means that we’ll likely be carrying on my Aunt Betty and Mom’s traditions of a family game night with some festive appetizers and snacks. I’m thinking my Cranberry Salsa? Or my Grandma Henrietta’s Bourbon Balls? We gave both of the boys some new games for Christmas and they have been SO excited about playing them. David has Candy Land (the old school version!) and Sorry (also the classic edition!), and Jonathan has Busy, Busy Airport which is very cute, though more complex than I expected. We’ve played all of them this week and it’s been fun to actually be at a stage where both boys can participate….if we choose the right game. What else will we have this rockin’ New Year’s Eve? Champagne Sangria! Because #momlife.
Easy Cocktails for a Party!
I first learned this “method” of making sangria from my good friend Kim. She and her husband are both foodies—in fact, my popcorn recipe comes from Kim’s husband. I remember Kim bringing this Champagne Sangria to a summer get together many years ago—she brought a container of berries pre-soaked in triple sec and added champagne when she arrived. Brilliant, delicious, and easy! I like to add a little bit of juice to it to help it stretch a little further, and to lessen the punch it packs, but it’s completely optional. You could also make this one without alcohol if you wanted to have another option—I’ll list out some flavor combinations below!
Easy to Make!
This Champagne Sangria is a perfect combination of wine meets cocktail. Quick and simple to put together, but also fun and fancy. It’s perfectly suited for a festive holiday soiree, a ladies’ night in, or even a Saturday night dinner at home. It’s flexible!
Lots of flavor combinations!
mixed berries + triple sec + champagne + pineapple juice
mixed berries + orange juice + sparkling soda + pomegranate juice
strawberries + limoncello + champagne + lemonade
diced apples + orange juice + sparkling apple cider + white cranberry juice

Champagne Sangria with Pineapple and Berries
Ingredients
- 1 10 ounce bag frozen mixed berries
- 1/2 cup triple sec or other orange liqueur
- 1 750 mL bottle of champagne
- 1 1/2 cups 12 ounces pineapple juice
Instructions
- Add the berries and triple sec to a container with a lid. Mix with a spoon and set aside to allow flavors to blend for at least an hour, but preferably 4-6 hours).
- Once fruit and triple sec flavors have combined pour them into a large carafe or sangria pitcher. Use a spoon to mash the berries a bit.
- Pour the champagne over the fruit, a little at a time to keep it from bubbling over.
- Add the pineapple juice and stir.
- Serve and enjoy (responsibly!)!
Don’t forget to pin it for later!
