Throwing the Perfect Appetizer Party!

We’re in the home stretch of our kitchen remodel, and I am so excited to start entertaining in our new space!  Once we get the final details pulled together I’ll be sure to share pictures of the whole remodel!  In the meantime, I’ve got some ideas for pulling together a perfect appetizer spread—yep, planning ahead!  Serving snacky appetizers feels a little bit elegant, a little bit easy (!), and provides lots of options for everyone.  It’s casual, and allows people to snack and mingle, rather than a formal  sit down dinner.  Every good appetizer party needs something sweet, something savory, something fruity, and of course….wine!  Make it extra fun and share some sparkling wine with your friends….now we’ve got a party!

For the spread I put together I knew I wanted to include my Olive Tapenade.  It’s so delicious, and really quick to make.  Gotta love quick dishes when you’re putting together a party!  It pairs easily with store bought crackers, and you can always grab gluten free crackers if needed.

I also served up some yummy vegan cheese, and some slices of pear.  That salty fruity combo is so good!  There are lots of delicious vegan cheese varieties these day—be sure to pick something yummy!

Gloria Ferrer Sparkling Wine

The best part about any soiree is the wine…and your friends, of course!  Sparkling wine always elevates the evening and makes everything feel so fancy!  Gloria Ferrer is California’s most awarded sparkling wine house, located in beautiful Sonoma, CA!  Gloria Ferrer has received over 500 gold medals and 50 90+ ratings in the last 5 years.  The Blanc de Noirs is a sweeter and fruity sparkling wine, with flavors of strawberry and cherry.  The Sonoma Brut is bright and crisp, with hints of pear.  Both are blends of Pinot Noir and Chardonnay, and are perfect to pair with the fresh flavors of my Olive Tapenade, vegan cheese, and fruit.  Dark chocolate would be a great combination too!

Other Perfect Pairings

My Cranberry Salsa is a terrific appetizer that is always a hit with a crowd.  It’s quick to make, naturally gluten free and vegan, and has a touch of sweetness.  I also love sharing my Tahini Bon Bons with friends at parties.  A yummy, yet not too indulgent treat to end the evening.  And individual Mediterranean Seven Layer Dip cups are always a hit!

What are your go to dishes for an appetizer party?  Do you like savory snacks, or sweet fruity dishes?  Or a combination of both?  Do you have a go to wine to serve?  Drop a note in the comments and share your tips for throwing a perfect appetizer party!  Happy hosting!
