Veganize Me

VeganizeMe_kick-start-plan

Are you in need of a vegan kick start?  Maybe you’ve been cutting back on animal products for a while and want to go all the way?  Or maybe you’ve been vegan for years, but indulge in too much vegan junk food?  Maybe you’re all set (nice work!), but you have a friend who has been considering a dietary change and just doesn’t know where to start.  I’d like to introduce you to Veganize Me!

In the late 90’s, while in college in Indiana—yes, I’m dating myself!—I met a girl who was new to my dorm floor and we instantly bonded over both being from Pennsylvania.  Fast forward 15 years and we reconnected on Facebook and found that we have more in common now than just growing up in Pennsylvania.  Dr. Kristen Bentson is a nutritionist who advocates for healthy living—instant bond renewal!  We got to chatting and I started exploring Kristen’s company website, YouAnew Lifestyle Nutrition.  Kristen is full of great ideas for staying happy and healthy!

In addition to so many healthy eating ideas, Kristen has put together a package available for purchase on her website called Veganize Me.  It includes two 7 day meal plans, a product guide to her favorite vegan products, handy cards to give to servers in restaurants explaining your dietary choices, and a vegan nutrient checklist.

My favorite component of the program is the new bonus meal plan entirely based on whole, unprocessed plant foods.  You know me, I love to cook and avoid nearly everything that comes with packaging and labels on it!  There are a lot of meal ideas on this meal plan that I am so excited to try like Black Bean and Mango Salad, Lentils, Peas and Rice, and a Quinoa Breakfast Bowl!  Everything sounds so fresh and healthy.

Here are a few of the benefits of going meatless and eating a whole foods, plant based diet. Here are all the reasons you will love VeganizeMe! (as noted on the Veganize Me website).

  • Lower Body Mass Index
  • Stabilized Blood Pressure
  • Stabilized Blood Sugar
  • Healthy Cholesterol Levels
  • Decreased Gall Bladder Disease Risk
  • General Decreased Need for Medications
  • Decreased Risk for Heart Attack
  • Increased Levels of Antioxidants
  • Lowered Risk of Cataracts
  • Increased Health Related Quality of Life
  • Increased Health Related Work Productivity
  • Decreased Cancer Risk

So check out Veganize Me and reboot your eating habits!  Live long, live strong, look (and feel) fabulous!
