Ingredients
2ripe nectarines
1/4cupbalsamic vinegar
1/4cupstrawberry jellysmooth, not chunky!
4Dorot basil cubes
non dairy vanilla ice cream
oil for grillingoptional
Instructions
Preheat your grill.
Slice your nectarines into two halves. It may be easier to slice around the pit (as shown in video) than to try to slice in half and twist away from the pit—do what works best for you!
Brush a tiny bit of neutral oil on the cut side of the nectarines to prevent them from sticking to the grill.
Place the nectarines, cut side down, on the grill.
Meanwhile, prepare the Balsamic Basil sauce. Place balsamic vinegar, strawberry jelly, and Dorot basil cubes in a small saucepan and heat over medium low heat.
Whisk together until smooth, and then continue whisking occasionally as sauce reduces. Allow sauce to reduce by about half. When you wipe your finger through the sauce on a spatula it should leave a trail (see video above). Then you'll know it's ready!
Remove nectarines from the grill.
Top with a scoop of non dairy ice cream and drizzle with Balsamic Basil sauce.
