Crispy Air Fried Tofu

Crispy Air Fried Tofu is sure to be your new weeknight go to!  Crispy and "fried" to perfection, it's a match with all your favorite sauces, wraps, and bowls!

Ingredients

  • 2 blocks firm tofu (14 ounce water packed packages, I like House Foods tofu)
  • 2 tablespoons cornstarch
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • spray oil, optional (I like avocado oil)

Instructions

  • Press and drain tofu to remove the water. I like to use a tofu press. If you don't have one, you can wrap the blocks of tofu in paper towels and press them on a plate under a weighted object.
  • Cube the tofu into 1 inch bite sized pieces.
  • Place the tofu in a bowl and sprinkle with cornstarch and salt. Place the lid on and give it a good shake to coat (alternately this can be done in a plastic bag).
  • Place the tofu into the basket of your air fryer. Give it a good spray with the spray oil if using.
  • Close the air fryer and cook for 20 minutes at 370° (the default temperature of my air fryer). Give it a shake half way through the cooking time, and spray with more oil if desired.
  • Remove the basket from the air fryer when done (or allow to cook 5 more minutes for a crispier tofu). Your tofu is ready to be enjoyed!!!
