Easy Vegan Garlic Bread

This easy vegan garlic bread can be on the table in 15 minutes flat!  Maybe even faster!  It's the perfect accompaniment for family pasta night!!!

  • 2 Tablespoons nutritional yeast
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt (scant)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 2 Tablespoons olive oil
  • 2 Tablespoons non dairy milk, unsweetened/plain
  • 1 baguette


  • Preheat oven to 400°.
  • Mix all the ingredients together in a small cup, except for the baguette.
  • Carefully slice the baguette in half lengthwise.
  • Spread the nutritional yeast garlic mixture over the bread evenly, distributing it as much as possible.  
  • Stack the bread back together.  Wrap with a large piece of aluminum foil, sealing each end. (see note)  
  • Bake the bread in the preheated oven for 10 minutes.
  • Remove the bread from the oven and carefully open the foil (it will be hot!).  Slice the bread into pieces as shown in photos.
  • Enjoy!


If you prefer not to use foil you may be able to wrap the bread in parchment paper and have similar results, though I haven't tested it this way.  It's important to try to seal up the bread a bit to keep the steam inside!
