Summer is just around the corner!  Jonny is on summer break, David is down to only 9 days left of school, and I’m already making summer foods and packing picnics!  Summer is on!  One of the things I always do better in the summer is staying hydrated.  It’s a no brainer to eat more ice cream drink more liquids during warm weather.  But sometimes plain water gets boring.  You’ve gotta jazz it up a bit, amiright?  Enter Frozen Fruit Cubes with Mystery Flavor Sparkling Ice.

Sparkling Ice Mystery Flavor

Sparkling Ice is a fun, fizzy, sparkling water!  (Drinks are fun, right?)  It comes in lots of fruity flavors—16 to be exact!  It’s a great low cal sub for a regular soda—perfect for a hot summer day!  And right now Sparkling Ice has a brand new mystery fruit flavor!  I am telling you—this one has our whole family stumped!

Our guesses are as follows:

David: cherry or Jolly Rancher

Jonny: strawberry or cherry

Irving: strawberry kiwi

Me: strawberry and melon

Do you have a guess?  Pop on over to Sparkling Ice and give them your best guess!  There are over 450 amazing prizes to be had!  Yes, seriously!  4 HUNDRED & 50!  And. They. Are. Good!

Frozen Fruit Cubes

For a real mystery drink, you’ll need some fun Frozen Fruit Cubes!  I had fun freezing different fruits into a silicone ice cube mold.  As they melt into your drink the fruit is revealed—a mini mystery!  Plus you’ll get that sweet bite from the fruit at the end of your drink!  The boys had lots of fun directing me, and telling me which fruits to use in each cube!

So Simple To Make

I tried to be all fancy when making my fruit cubes, as one does.  I experimented with “glueing” the fruits to the mold with agave (you know, so the fruit wouldn’t float away), layering the fruit, etc.  In the end what worked best was just throwing a bunch of fruit into the molds and covering with water.  Easy peasy!  I used blueberries, strawberries, and raspberries.  Little bits of mint leaves add some color and make them really pretty!  Perfect for a girls’ night!

Get Your Sparkle On!

So what are you waiting for?  Time to run out to your local grocery store and grab a Mystery Flavored Sparkling Ice!  Give it a try and make your best guess on the flavor!  Then make some Frozen Fruit Cubes to complement the flavor for a fun and sparkly drink!  You’re going to love it!
